The smart story project uses toys for interacting with the animation. The aim of the smart toy is to provide mixed reality environment for young children to support several objectives mentioned in early childhood education curriculum. Smart story play allows children to play with not only virtual characters but also physical objects. Rather than using mouse and keyboards, children can handle plush toys to animate the virtual characters appeared on the animation. Compared with other digital toys, the advantage of smart story is to provide meaningful and interactive tasks for children by integrating virtual and physical reality.
